Foodcarts

Portland is famous for our food carts. Not only are they spread across the area, many are collected in pods.

These pods often feature a dozen carts, covered (and sometimes inside) eating areas, beer gardens, heating furnaces, and sometimes entertainment, like axe throwing. Everyone can get something.

The closest pod is in Milwaukie on the south side of their downtown (Google Maps), where they offer a beer truck along with the half-dozen carts. We like the sushi burritos.

The nearest feature-rich pod is Corner 14 in Oregon City, where rival pods sit on each side of 14th Avenue (Google Maps). While I love the Veggie Bowl, I hear that the burgers in the far corner are the best around.
