This graph is made with data from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and shows the number of bachelor degrees awarded to women over 40 years, and demonstrates that women have primarily stayed with the “soft sciences”, and that they are still growing.
I find it interesting to note that while engineering increased back in the late 70s, it tapered off and hasn't changed.
Computer science, has hit two peaks, but has been going down since the last peak.
